Your Specialty Music Store
www.TrueBlueMusic.com
At Mosaic Records we create our own unique jazz collections. However there is much Jazz that is available from a number of music labels and we carry these CDs, LPs and DVDs at True Blue Music. Our goal is to be the best specialty music store on the planet with a particular focus on Jazz from the 1920s to 1960s.
Every item that goes on our True Blue Music site is given the same careful consideration and review that we give to every Mosaic Records concept. If you want Basie at Birdland or Eddie Condon's Town Hall concerts, you'll find the legitimate release drawn from the original sources with the best possible sound. If you are looking for a database-driven warehouse with everything ever recorded, this is not the place.
Search John Coltrane on the True Blue Music site and you'll find every important recording by this great artist in 70 selections, including 12 LPs, 2 SACDs and a DVD. Go to Amazon and you'll spend the day going through 857 selections including a dozen versions of this or that album, used CDs, bootlegs, meaningless compilations and imports with overlapping material and often substandard sound.
The Ultimate in Contemporary Jazz and Sophisticated Soul.
www.MosaicContemporary.com
With the first Mosaic Contemporary release in March of 2007, Mosaic Records branched out to embrace the most important artists in the Contemporary Jazz idiom. Since this genre has been with us for well over 40 years, we are able to have some perspective in terms of which artists and recordings in this are stand the test of time.
Although nearly every artist featured on Mosaic Contemporary releases will be well known to even the casual contemporary jazz listener, all of our creative decisions are based on an artist's contribution to the music and its place in American music.
In addition to our Ultimate Series (LINK), which bring together tracks from each artist's entire recorded output to create "the best of the best" collections, we are also reissuing long out-of-print titles with 24-bit mastering, original artwork, and new liner notes.
Finally, with the Mosaic Contemporary Store, you'll find hundreds of our recommendations for the most important recordings in contemporary jazz and sophisticated soul.
